Prior to devoting his efforts to HOSDI, Joe served as Chief Operating Officer for Vista Host, a company he dutifully served for more than 20 years. As COO of Vista Host, he oversaw all operations and sales functions for a portfolio of more than 40 hotels, the vast majority of which were Hilton and Marriott flags. During his career Joe has created a number of new initiatives aimed at improving service and financial results for the company, as these initiatives include the Manager In Training (MIT) college recruiting program, a ground-breaking partnership with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, the property level development of Service Coaches, writing and publishing the company’s Manual of Operating Standards, and a number of new reports aimed at driving sales and service levels. Based out of his home office in Indianapolis, Joe is usually on-site at one of the hotels he oversees. He is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and holds a B.A. in Marketing. She launched the company with nearly 20 years in hospitality where she successfully steered her hotels through complex events such as acquisitions, new openings, portfolio sales and ownership transitions. Ms. Kane began her career in advertising and public relations, but her passion for people made the hospitality industry a natural fit. She spent over seven years leading the sales efforts for two mid-size management companies where her expertise was identifying opportunities, developing a sales culture and delivering results in challenging markets. During her 12 years with Marriott International, Ms. Kane was the recipient of many prestigious awards including North American Lodging Sales Leader of the Year. Ms. Kane holds dual Bachelors’ degrees from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA and is a Level 3 Certified Sales Trainer. She currently resides in Dallas, Texas with her family and seven rescue dogs. Jesse Phillips Executive V.P. of Operations email@example.com As Executive Vice President of Operations, Jesse Phillips is responsible for operations, performance, capital planning and brand standard guidelines for all hotels managed by HOSDI. Mr. Phillips has over 25 years of hospitality experience including serving as Vice President, Operations for seven years with a mid-size hotel management company where he drove profits for owners ranging from large, publicly traded REITs to smaller, independent owners. He started his hospitality career in 1993 as a Front Desk Agent in Baltimore, MD where his commitment to customer service was recognized and quickly earned him his first General Manager role. He subsequently held leadership roles with Hilton, Marriott and Radisson flagged hotels. Mr. Phillips leads by example, living the adage “take care of your employees and they, in turn, will take care of your guests.” He earned his B.S. degree in Criminology from Towson University, where he excelled as a Division 1 All-Star rugby player. He now resides in Jupiter, FL with his two sons. Abby Harkrider Vice President of Sales and Marketing firstname.lastname@example.org Abby Harkrider is responsible for sales, marketing and associate training for properties within HOSDI’s Sales Support Solutions portfolio. Ms. Harkrider has a long history of recognition for successfully driving top line results whether it is through turning around focus properties, launching new hotels at opening or post-renovation repositioning. She has an innate ability to quickly get to the needs within a property and take action. She began her hospitality career in a Residence Inn in an oil market during the economic downturn and was able to outpace her market consistently through a creative approach to new business development. Prior to joining HOSDI, Ms. Harkrider was a Regional Director of Sales with responsibilities from Pennsylvania to Texas. An avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan, she currently resides in Pittsburgh, PA with her husband, two sons and dog, Polamalu.
